How we work with you

From the first call to the final order or certificate, you should know what is happening, what it will cost and what comes next. This is how we make sure you do.

Our process, step by step

  1. Tell us what happened

Call, WhatsApp, email or use the form on the contact page with a short description of your matter and any deadline you know of.

  2. Initial review

A professional from the relevant team reviews your message and tells you what documents are needed for a proper assessment.

  3. Consultation

We discuss the facts with you in person, by phone or by video call and explain your options, risks and likely timelines.

  4. Written fee quote

You receive a written quote setting out our professional fee by stage and the government fees, court fees or stamp duty expected.

  5. Engagement and documents

Once you approve, we confirm the engagement, collect the documents and authorisations we need, and open your file.

  6. Drafting and filing

We draft the notice, petition, reply or application, share it with you for review, and file it once you approve.

  7. Updates at every step

After each hearing, filing or response from an authority, we tell you what happened and what comes next.

  8. Closure

When the matter ends, you receive the final order, certificate or acknowledgement and a note of any future dates such as renewals.

How we charge

We charge in one of three ways, depending on the work:

  • Fixed fee for defined work such as a registration, a notice or a return.
  • Stage-wise fee for litigation, where each stage (filing, evidence, arguments, appeal) is priced separately so you are not paying in advance for stages that may not arise.
  • Retainer for ongoing compliance, charged monthly or annually.

Government fees, court fees and stamp duty are paid at actuals and shown separately from our fee. We do not charge fees linked to the outcome of a case, which the Bar Council rules do not permit.

Working with us from anywhere in India

Many matters never need a visit to our office. Documents can be shared by email or WhatsApp, approvals given by email, and digital signatures used for online filings. Where originals or wet signatures are required, we tell you exactly what to send. Court appearances are handled by our advocates or, where a matter is in another city, by counsel we work with, with your consent.

Confidentiality and your documents

Everything you tell us is confidential. We use your documents only for your matter, share them only with the authorities or courts where filing requires it, and return originals when the work is done. Read more about our standards.

Frequently asked questions

Is the first consultation free?

We tell you before the consultation whether a fee applies. For many routine registrations, a short initial discussion is enough to quote and carries no charge.

How quickly will you respond?

We aim to respond the same working day during office hours. Urgent matters such as bail or a filing deadline should be marked urgent on WhatsApp or by phone.

Will I get copies of what you file?

Yes. You receive a copy of every document filed on your behalf and the acknowledgement or order that follows.

Can I change my mind after accepting the quote?

Yes. You pay only for work done up to that point and any government fees already paid, as set out in the quote.

Who will handle my matter?

A named professional is responsible for each matter and is your point of contact, with other team members brought in where the work needs them.
